Martin Luther King was portrayed by actors also and some even had sympathies toward the movment. Penn played a iconic member of the Gay rights movement and suports their equal rights as any freedom loving duck should.But to say you have to be gay to play a gay just because that person was a spokesperson?? Does that mean you must have been a cop to act a cop, be a mobster to act a mobster, what about the guy who played Jesus in the passion he probably wasn't the true messiah?(that would Mel).
