Why My Sock Drawer will Never Be Complete

Most days when I feel the urge to “blog” I sit for a minute on the couch…which is where I sit most days for many hours…and think of a title for a blog post. When I’ve got a title, I then think of how on earth I’m going to write a post centered around the title. But today I shall digress from my usual writing formula to write about something completely unrelated to my title.

My sock drawer is not complete; its a haven for disorganization. I place all sorts of items in there that should not be there. But one thing is always lacking; a portal to another dimension. Yes, I admit that the one in my closet is cool. I’ve visited that sci-fi western world back there a dozen times by now. But what I’d really like to do is reach in to my top drawer for, say, a pair of wool argyles, and go to Endor or something cool like that.

Is anyone with me on this? Sock drawer teleportation would be rad. It would change the way we move from one dimension to another. I’m going to write the good folks at Fox and insist they make a mini series about SDT-or Sock-Drawer-Teleportation. It would be like Sliders, but filmed in real time and real.

That’s all for now. Huh-I wonder why this bottle of Percoset says “only take recommended dosage.” Silly label.
